RFQ Checklist

smt production line layout

A smt production line layout is comparable only after station sequence, conveyor height, feeder-cart aisles and utilities are named. This checklist is a decision dossier for questions to resolve before ranking factory responses. It is not an engineering or compliance certificate.

Questions to resolve

Questions to resolve
Decision point Evidence or question
Questions to resolve: Equipment scope Which printer, mounter, inspection and reflow interfaces sit in the first purchase? What board mix and component count define line balance? How will changeovers and traceability be demonstrated on two actual jobs? Connected load (kW), supply frequency (Hz), compressed air demand (MPa) and footprint (mm or in) should be answered against the US plant, not a showroom layout.
Price exclusions Mark extra feeders, nozzles, stencils, nitrogen, AOI seats, installation, training, spare parts, freight and duties as included or extra. A mounter price without those marks is not an installed project cost. No percentage saving is stated on this site.
Response basis Factories should quote the same two-job trial, name FAT/SAT attendance, and state cycle time or CPH only with panel, mix and reject method. Layout drawings ownership and conveyor height belong in writing. Throughput without test conditions is not a comparable number.

Remaining inputs: quantity, destination, delivery window, optional budget with currency and per-unit or whole-order basis, and supplier preference. Articles: balance, changeover. Open limits: this service does not issue a uniform certification covering the whole line; safety and product-specific rules stay with the named supplier and destination authority. Layout drawings sent after contact should carry a revision; this form has no upload control.
